We present an audience with Christabel Pankhurst herself! Meet the charismatic driving force behind the campaign, join the struggle and discover some surprising facts about the women who fought for the vote.

 

Tales from the Titanic

To commemorate the sinking of the Titanic we bring to life some of the stories of the passengers and crew on board the fateful liner.

 We also have Edwardian replica and original objects as well as costumes to illustrate our presentation.


Put Your Best Face Forward

An entertaining look at the lengths women had to go through in their quest for "Beauty and Duty" during the Second World War.

Includes a wartime make over, fashion advice and a cookery guessing game. Rounded off with a good old fashioned sing song! Original objects and clothing brought along for a trip down memory lane.


Lady Maria Clutterbuck and the story of Mrs Charles Dickens

To celebrate the recent 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens. Find out about the woman behind the great writer, their life before and after separation. A theatrical talk exploring the marriage of Mr and Mrs Charles Dickens using characters from his books, letters and advice from Lady Maria Clutterbuck's household management book.
